About Deana Goodman
Deana has been designing beautiful objects since she can remember. It was her mother's sewing machine that first attracted her attention and then fabrics and leather. At about eleven years old, she enjoyed cutting pieces of leather and sewing them on fabrics cutouts to create belts for herself. Her love for fabrics stayed with her throughout her life and only grew and grew. This love brought her to select all sorts of fabrics and to design clothes and sew them into original design outfits that she wore in college.
Deana's interest in creative art expanded when she came to California. She attended Otis college of Fine Arts, where she studied oil painting with Richard Shelton. She also studied with internationally renowned painters, including David Leffel, Jove Wang and Karl Dempwolf. In 2012 her artwork was exhibited at Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena, California.
Deana started working with gemstones and cultured pearls in 2010, and in the beginning she created a line of large pendants, from gemstone chips, suitable for shadow boxes used in Modern Interior Design projects and several lines of gemstone beads jewelry. She continued her creative work, and in 2012, due to expanding demand, she opened her online jewelry stores on Etsy. Her jewelry continues to evolve in popularity and is sold throughout the United States, as well as internationally today.
Deana currently lives in Los Angeles, where she continues her jewelry design and fine art painting.
